Description

The Güde GAB 12V/6V-10A-BOOST is an intelligent, microprocessor-controlled automatic battery charger for 6 V and 12 V lead-acid batteries.

The intelligent charging technology automatically controls the charging process through a 6-stage charging programme. Simply select the battery voltage, 6 V or 12 V, and the required charging mode, and the charger controls the charging process automatically.

The charger is suitable for PB, GEL, AGM, MF and WET batteries. At 6 V it supports battery capacities from 2 to 150 Ah, while 12 V batteries can have capacities from 2 to 300 Ah.

The GAB 12V/6V-10A-BOOST features a special BOOST function that charges the battery at up to 10 A for 300 seconds. This provides a short period of high-current charging and can be useful before starting a vehicle with a weak battery.

The LED display provides a quick overview of the battery charge status and selected charging mode. The charger also features temperature control, reverse polarity protection and short-circuit protection.

Practical Information

During longer periods of inactivity, the charger can be used for maintenance charging to keep the battery charged over an extended period. This makes it suitable for cars, motorcycles, garden machinery and other seasonal vehicles and equipment.

The ability to charge both 6 V and 12 V batteries makes this model particularly useful when working with different battery types, including older vehicles and machinery equipped with 6 V electrical systems.

The BOOST function provides up to 10 A for 300 seconds and is designed for short-term rapid charging of the battery. This function should not be confused with a conventional jump starter or booster that supplies a high starting current directly to the starter motor.
