Description
The Güde GAB 12V/6V-10A is an intelligent, microprocessor-controlled automatic battery charger for both 6 V and 12 V batteries. The charger uses inverter technology and a fully automatic 10-stage charging process that adapts the charging cycle to the battery type and condition.
The charger supports a wide range of common battery types, including PB, GEL, AGM, WET, EFB and LiFePO4. This makes it suitable for traditional lead-acid batteries, modern start-stop batteries and LiFePO4 batteries.
The battery can be charged directly while installed in the vehicle. The automatic charging process provides controlled and gentle charging and can subsequently maintain the battery's charge level over extended periods.
The GAB 12V/6V-10A also features a recovery function for deeply discharged batteries, as well as reverse polarity and short-circuit protection.

Practical Information
The combination of 6 V and 12 V charging and support for several different battery technologies makes the GAB 12V/6V-10A suitable for both older and modern vehicles, motorcycles, garden machinery and other battery-powered equipment.
During longer periods of inactivity, the charger can be used for maintenance charging. This is particularly useful for seasonal vehicles and machinery where the battery might otherwise discharge during extended periods without use.
The recovery function is designed to attempt charging of heavily or deeply discharged batteries. However, a damaged or defective battery cannot necessarily be restored by charging.
