The Güde GRP 260 is a powerful reversible plate compactor designed for demanding compaction work in construction, paving and landscaping applications. With a compaction force of 38 kN and an 820 × 480 mm base plate, the machine is particularly suitable for larger areas and applications requiring high compaction performance.
The reversible drive allows the machine to travel both forwards and backwards. This makes the 260 kg machine considerably easier to manoeuvre and provides good control when working on large areas or alongside foundations, edges and other structures.
The GRP 260 is powered by a powerful 389 cm³ 4-stroke petrol engine delivering 8.2 kW / 11 hp. The vibration system provides up to 3,750 vibrations per minute and a maximum compaction force of 38 kN.
The robust base plate measures 820 × 480 mm and is designed for demanding applications and long service life. Güde specifies a compaction depth of up to 90 cm, depending on the material and working conditions.
The machine features low-oil protection and a vibration-dampened, folding handle. The supplied transport system with robust wheels makes it easier to move the machine when it is not in operation.

Practical Information
The reversible drive is particularly important on a plate compactor in this weight class. The GRP 260 can travel both forwards and backwards, eliminating the need to manually turn the machine during operation.
With its 820 × 480 mm base plate and 38 kN compaction force, the GRP 260 is designed for larger and more demanding compaction projects than the smaller models in the GRP range.
The supplied polyurethane mat can be used when compacting sensitive paved surfaces. It helps protect paving stones from direct contact with the steel base plate and reduces the risk of surface damage.
The vibration-dampened handle helps reduce the transmission of vibrations to the operator and can be folded down for easier transport and more compact storage.
The machine uses standard unleaded petrol. The engine has a 6.5-litre fuel tank and an oil capacity of 1.1 litres. The specified engine oil grade is 10W-40, while the eccentric vibration system uses 15W-40 oil.
