The collet chuck is used to hold milling and drilling tools in milling machines with Morse taper 2 in the work spindle.
The tools are precisely clamped with this collet chuck.
When used in lathes, the collet chuck can be inserted in a work spindle with MT2. This enables workpieces to be clamped with a very high level of concentricity.
In addition, when clamping in a collet, there are no impressions of the clamping jaws on the workpiece surface.
