The Güde GDM 1000 is a robust and versatile wood lathe with an integrated copying attachment. The copying unit makes it possible to reproduce workpieces from a template or an existing workpiece – ideal for table legs, chair legs, balusters, columns and other projects where identical turned profiles are required.

The integrated copying function is a major advantage compared with a conventional wood lathe. Once the profile or template has been established, producing several workpieces with the same shape and dimensions becomes considerably easier.

The machine offers a maximum working length of 935 mm and can handle workpieces up to 280 mm in diameter. The spindle speed can be adjusted from 600 to 2,100 rpm, while the digital display makes it easy to monitor the selected speed.

The robust stand and 63.6 kg machine weight provide a stable working platform. The large tailstock with MT2 taper provides secure support when working with longer workpieces.

Integrated Copying Attachment

The GDM 1000 has the copying attachment integrated directly into the machine. It can be used with templates as well as for copying existing workpieces. This makes the lathe particularly useful when several identical turned wooden components need to be produced and reduces the need to shape every workpiece entirely freehand.
